The Department of Measurements and Control Systems is a direct continuation of the tradition of the Department of Automation of Industrial Processes and the Department of Industrial Measurement, existing within the Institute of Automatic Control of the Faculty Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Sciences, Silesian University of Technology. The Department employs over 20 research and teaching staff, including three full professors and four university professors. Research conducted in the Department is directly related to the subject of the XXI Polish Control Conference, and the high-level teaching contributes to the continuous supply of Polish automation specialists.
The Educational and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology, due to its equipment and location, is an excellent facility for the organization of all celebrations, conferences and congresses. It is a three-storey, air-conditioned building with public internet access. The usable area is over 6,000 m2, and it includes, among others: lecture halls, a buffet, a cloakroom and spacious halls that will be used for exhibition purposes, conference reception and the organization of coffee breaks.
